Accessibility Statement.
Vessels is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. This statement describes our current conformance status, known limitations, and how to request assistance or report issues.
Our Commitment
Vessels — operated by The Lees Media LLC — is committed to providing websites, web applications, and digital systems that are accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability, technology, or circumstance. We work to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), as our baseline standard.
This commitment extends to Vessels-operated websites (vssls.co and subdomains) and to systems we build for clients, to the extent that accessibility measures are implemented during the build process. Vessels strongly recommends all clients maintain WCAG 2.1 AA conformance on their Vessels-built systems.
Conformance Status
Vessels' websites and client-facing systems are partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partial conformance means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to identify and remediate gaps.
Text and background color combinations across Vessels properties are designed to meet or exceed 4.5:1 contrast ratio for body text and 3:1 for large text.
Vessels uses semantic HTML5 elements, proper heading hierarchies, and ARIA landmark roles where applicable.
All Vessels-built interfaces are mobile-responsive and support content reflow at 400% zoom without horizontal scrolling.
Form inputs across Vessels properties include programmatic labels and error identification to support screen reader users.
Core navigation is keyboard accessible. Signature capture components require mouse or touch input — alternative contact methods are available for users who cannot use these.
Primary content areas are screen reader compatible. Some dynamic components and canvas elements may have limited screen reader support. We are working to improve this.
Technical Specifications
Vessels' accessibility implementation relies on the following technologies:
HTML5 semantic structure
CSS3 for visual presentation (no content conveyed by color alone)
JavaScript for interactive components (with graceful degradation where possible)
ARIA roles, states, and properties where native semantics are insufficient
SVG for icons and decorative elements (with appropriate aria-hidden attributes)
We test accessibility using VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), NVDA (Windows), Keyboard-only navigation, Chrome DevTools accessibility panel, and automated audits using axe and Lighthouse.
Known Limitations
We are aware of the following limitations and are working to address them:
Signature capture canvas: The electronic signature canvas on proposal and agreement pages requires mouse or touch input and is not accessible to keyboard-only users. Users who cannot complete the signature canvas may contact hello@vssls.co to receive an alternative signing method.
Canvas elements: HTML5 canvas-based elements (signature pads, certain interactive components) have limited native screen reader support. We provide equivalent alternative pathways where possible.
Third-party embedded content: Some third-party tools embedded in Vessels-built client systems (booking widgets, payment forms) are controlled by their respective providers and may have varying accessibility conformance.
PDF documents: Some PDF deliverables may not be fully accessible to screen reader users. Tagged PDF versions are available upon request.
Client-Built Systems
Where Vessels builds websites, booking systems, membership platforms, or other digital tools for clients, Vessels incorporates accessibility best practices during development to the extent specified in the service engagement. Vessels recommends all clients:
Maintain WCAG 2.1 AA conformance on all pages accessible to the public
Include an accessibility statement on their website
Conduct periodic accessibility audits as their site content evolves
Provide an accessible contact method for users who encounter barriers
Clients are ultimately responsible for the ongoing accessibility of their own websites and digital systems. Vessels will address accessibility issues in Vessels-managed components as part of the standard maintenance retainer.
AI Voice Agents and Accessibility
Vessels builds AI-powered voice agents that communicate verbally. These agents are designed to:
Use clear, plain language without jargon or rapid speech
Allow callers time to respond without automatic timeout penalties where technically possible
Offer to repeat or clarify information when a caller indicates confusion
Transfer to a human representative or text-based alternative when the caller's needs cannot be met by the AI
Users who are deaf or hard of hearing and who interact with a Vessels-powered business phone number should be aware that SMS-based follow-up is built into all Vessels voice agent systems as a default accessibility accommodation.
Legal Framework
This accessibility statement is provided in good faith to comply with applicable accessibility standards and to reduce barriers for people with disabilities. Vessels aims to conform to:
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title III: As applied to websites and digital services for places of public accommodation
Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act: As applicable to technology products and services
WCAG 2.1 Level AA: As the internationally recognized technical standard for web accessibility
Vessels is not aware of any pending accessibility-related legal complaints or litigation as of the date of this statement. If you believe Vessels or a Vessels-built system has created an accessibility barrier in violation of applicable law, please contact us first to allow an opportunity to address the issue before pursuing legal action.
Feedback and Assistance
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on any Vessels property or Vessels-built system, or if you need content in an alternative format, please contact us. We take all accessibility feedback seriously and will respond promptly.
Vessels (The Lees Media LLC) Email: hello@vssls.co Subject: Accessibility Feedback Response time: Within 5 business days for accessibility requests

Continuous Improvement
Vessels is committed to continuous improvement of accessibility across all properties. We review this statement and our conformance status at least annually and following any significant updates to our websites or client systems. We welcome feedback from users with disabilities and from accessibility experts to help us identify and fix issues.
